Can the Temp Agency get any more Dumb??

So I've been at my new temp job for two weeks. It's about time for my first paycheck to show up. (You get paid weekly). I call them and ask if it will be mailed to me or do I have to go to the office to get it?? I talk with the nice lady and she tells my first check will be ready at the office on Friday. Then she asks if I elected Direct Deposit? I said no, you don't have a voided check, and she tells me that the system has my checking account in there and she can activate it. Strange I think because when I registered with you, and told you I used to work for you, you said you had no records of me. Anyway I say ok, sign me up.

So Friday comes around, I rush over to the office to get my check. Get there right before they close and well no check. Nothing in the pick up box. SO they look in their system and it says that because it was my first check, Corporate mailed it to me. Ok fine I say, then this strange look comes over the lady's face. She looks at me and says, "is your address 19928 Chase Street, Winnetka, CA?"??? (hi we are standing in Santa Rosa by the way). I tell her no, that was my old address where I lived in LA where I registered with you guys the first time and tried to tell you a month ago. I just wanted to scream, then laugh, then yell not so very nice racist slurs, but kept my cool. I just said fix it.

So they had to stop payment on the check and issue a new one that I should get by time my second check is ready. I am just shocked again. So I leave, get in my car and yell, "of course, they lost my resume while I was in the office, why did I ever think the could pay me correctly."
